March 26, 2007 - The Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) of Indiana has recently delivered what it describes as a "thought-provoking collection of stories and photographs to the homes of every member of the Indiana legislature on the eve of an important vote that would bar marriage equality."
PFLAG's scrapbook is titled, "PFLAG: Living Our Values" and contains 18 "touching stories along with photographs of gay couples, children, and family members." According to one parent of a SSA child, Annette Gross asks: "Why can't people love who they want to love?"
Sarah Patterson, a PFLAG-Indianapolis member expressed concern that "anti-gay legislation" would create a "brain drain" of young SSA people who will leave the state for other gay-friendly regions.
